It is extremely important to use good quality batteries to enjoy myHummy at its best. Unfortunately, not all batteries provide the intensity required by our sound modules and sleep sensors. The use of poor quality batteries can lead to malfunctions or rapid discharge of the batteries. It is crucial not to mix different types of batteries of varius power.
It looks like the batteries are depleted. If using rechargeable batteries, please make sure they are fully charged and that all batteries have the same charge level. It is also worth checking the expiry date on batteries. It is extremely important to use good quality batteries to enjoy myHummy at its best. To activate the non-stop mode press the button 3 times quickly. To switch back to the Sleep Sensor mode, turn myHummy off and on again. It reverts back to the Sleep Sensor mode when restarted.
The age recommendation for myHummy is 0-3 years and we’ve received a lot of positive feedback from parents of older babies. It is never too late to try white noise. In fact, people of all ages use it as a sleep aid. White noise has a lulling effect but also masks other sounds, so babies (and older children as well as adults) are less likely to wake up as a result of noise. You may need to try different sounds and volumes, but it’s definitely worth a go!
You can try playing YouTube videos of white noise first to see if your little one is receptive to the sounds. Try a few different videos and volumes, for many babies white noise is most effective when played quite loud, up to 50 decibels – this is the maximum volume recommended by many pediatricians. You can also try playing the sound continuously through the night as some babies get startled when the white noise stops – myHummy can play continuously through the night! If you find that your little one is a lover of white noise, then myHummy is a great choice for you!
